I actually found this recipe via a friend’s facebook post – it was part of a chocolate peanut butter banana cream pie recipe that I did make, and enjoyed the results immensely. But I realised that the chocolate and the peanut butter parts could be made separately to go into other things, so here’s the chocolate pudding part (and here‘s how to make peanut butter pudding).
Chocolate pudding
Cook Time 10 minutes
Servings 8
Ingredients
- 6 tbs sugar
- 2 tbs cornstarch
- 2 tbs cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- 120 g chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Whisk the sugar, cornstarch and cocoa together in a medium saucepan.

Gradually shisk in milk, then cream.

Whisk over medium heat until mxiture comes to a boil. Boil until thick, whisking constantly.

Add chopped chocolate, boil until chocolate melts and pudding is thick again, whisking often.

Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla.

Pour into pudding bowls and chill for at least 2 hours.
