A unique combination of tacos, nachos and other Mexican tastes, all in one meal – you gotta try these nacho taco dippos!
What do you get when you combine tacos and nachos together? Why, it’s just one of my family’s favorite meals – otherwise known as ‘nacho taco dippos’. I’m surprised I haven’t posted this here before, because we’ve been eating this as a family for many years now. I think it came about when Grant was cooking for the kids one time, and we didn’t have any tortillas to use with the taco/burrito seasoned meat, but we did have corn chips. And so a new meal was born (I think Henry was in charge of naming it!).
This is really easy to make. Cook up the ground meat with the seasonings, similar to what you would do for either tacos or nachos. But instead of putting the meat with toppings such as lettuce, cheese, etc in a tortilla, put it all in a bowl, and dip the corn chips into it. Simple, yet so yummy!
I’ve also made a few changes for my special dietary requirements over the years, so when I make them, I use sweet potato chips (not corn), and I don’t put beans in the mix (but you are welcome to), and I don’t have any cheese or sour cream as toppings, but I DO have avocado and tomato (which makes my family look at me strangely … more than usual!). So feel free to try this nacho taco dippos recipe out and customize to your own special dietary likes and dislikes. I promise you, it will be worth it!
